Cathedral Basilica School Challenge

Our school philosophy states, “Cathedral School is fully aware of its responsibility to ensure that each child receives a quality Catholic education where the needs of the individual child are met and where each child can reach his/her full potential.”

In other words, we strive to meet the needs of our students with talents in music and art by making sure we have a fine arts curriculum. We have a learning consultant on staff.

Our goal is to CHALLENGE each student to reach their personal best. Which means that those students who are high achievers, who show exceptional talent in a particular subject area, who are inquisitive, independent and creative thinkers and have a love for learning are recognized, and the focus of the curriculum is adjusted to meet their needs.

The Cathedral Basilica school goals were developed from the following school level and subject area curricular domains that were derived from the catechetical documents of the Catholic Church in the case of religious education, and the national standards, state standards and other research documents that describe the knowledge, skills and characteristics students need for success in the 21st century in the case of the other subject areas.
